Well, even in my garden some of the roses fade quickly...

I guess they are like memories. But what can we do to preserve them?

I sometimes dry the flower memories, but it is as if doing so changes what they were...
They look less vibrant and over time I am scared that I will forget what they used to be

I could also save them in a candle that releases some of their scent as the flame melts them.
They might not last forever that way, but it would allow me to revisit their moment in time for as long as the smell lingers in the air around me and turns a cold winter's night into a summer field of roses
